Avengers: Doomsday will have a stunning ensemble, bringing some of Marvel's biggest heroes (and antiheroes) back on screen. Tom Hiddleston's Loki is also set to return, brewing a buzz on what the God of Mischief might be up to this time.
Loki's return is one of the exciting parts of the new project, as he will be joined by his on-screen brother, Thor (Chris Hemsworth). The actor opened up on his MCU return in a recent conversation.
Speaking to TikToker Max Balegde, the actor said:
"Very, very excited! It's really remarkable that I can talk about it because I'm mostly in a position of knowing and not being able to say anything! It's strange; you have to be just very disciplined about carrying this secret around, but it’s been an extraordinary chapter of my life playing Loki, and it’s not over yet."
Hiddleston's Loki has had limited appearances in MCU films after his last stint in Avengers: Infinity War. After that, the character was seen on his own TV show, which has had two seasons so far. On the show, Loki's adventures with the Time Variance Authority form the central plot as he battles against the sacred timeline and explores the multiverse.
The God of Mischief has played a significant role in the MCU ever since he was first introduced in the first Thor film where he played the antagonist. Soon after, he quickly became a foil character, occasionally creating havoc. His last scene saw him bidding an emotional goodbye as he got killed by Thanos because of the Tesseract. Loki's last words to Thor were:
"The Sun Will Shine On Us Again."
Who else will be seen in Avengers: Doomsday?

The most anticipated role in Avengers: Doomsday is, of course, Robert Downey Jr.'s Doctor Doom. The internet has been buzzing with theories on how his character will be introduced, with multiple fans theorizing he might use his resemblance to Tony Stark to infiltrate the MCU.
Joining Downey are a few original characters from the previous Avengers films, namely, Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Anthony Mackie as newly appointed Captain America, Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes, Paul Rudd as Ant Man, Letitia Wright as Black Panther and Simu Liu as Shang-Chi.
More of the returning cast includes the Thunderbolts, the X-Men, and the Fantastic Four. Among the X-Men, Patrick Stewart as Prof. X, Ian McKellen as Magneto, James Marsden as Cyclops, Rebecca Romijn as Mystique, Alan Cuming as Nightcrawler, Kelsey Grammer as Beast, and, surprisingly, Channing Tatum as Gambit.
