Zayn Malik has officially announced his first-ever solo tour, which comes on the heels of months of speculations. The former One Direction-er revealed the news during his surprise appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, disclosing that he would be hitting the road for the Stairway to the Sky tour across the UK and the US this autumn.
During the show, Zayn Malik emerged from behind the blue curtains, just as Jimmy announced that this would be one of their best shows. He waved at the psyched audience, before hitting the play button to his song Stardust. He then handed a note to the host and walked off the stage, without saying anything. Jimmy then read it aloud:
"Hey Jimmy, great to see you mate! I'm going on my first solo tour this autumn, so maybe when you're done pickin' apples with your birds you can come check out my Stairway to the Sky tour across the US and UK. I'm making the official announcement tomorrow morning, let me know what day you need tickets for."
Clad in a leather brown jacket and a scruffy beard, Zayn Malik headed to the elevator and left. On X, a fan account shared a message, reportedly from the singer himself. It had a note that read:
"IM GOING ON MY FIRST EVER SOLO TOUR THIS AUTUMN. IM MAKING AN OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT TOMORROW MORNING. SEE YOU THERE!"
