La Toya Jackson publicly condemns her brother Michael Jackson

La Toya Jackson's video of vacationing in Doha went viral on the internet after the singer's 1993 MTV interview footage resurfaced on the internet in 2019. In the interview clip, La Toya can be seen criticizing her brother Michael and condemning him as a child predator and se**ual abuser.

While responding to allegations made by Jorden Chandler in 1993, La Toya Jackson said,

"If I remain silent then it means I fuel the guilt and humiliation these children are feeling, and I think it's very wrong."

The singer went on to note that being a victim herself she knows "what it feels like" and understands that the kids are going to be "scarred for the rest of their lives."

While speaking to The Daily Beast in 2011, the singer recalled the allegations again saying,

"I never believed for a minute my brother was guilty of anything like that. When I spoke to Michael about it years later, he told me he knew it wasn't me saying those things...He always knew it wasn't true."

Jackson's family, however, had denied the allegations and described MTV's documentary; Leaving Neverland as "a public lynching."

Jackson's estate also filed a $100 million lawsuit against HBO alleging that the network violated a non-disparagement agreement and called the documentary "a one-sided hit piece against Jackson."
