Magician and mentalist Max Major recently appeared on Mafiathon 2, hosted by Twitch streamer Kai Cenat. The stunt he pulled off did not go well with the viewers, who widely criticized him. Despite a clarification video, netizens asked him to respect the streamer.

Therefore, he shared a lengthy note via X (formerly Twitter), mentioning that he did not attempt to get the streamer banned from the platform.

The magician recently appeared on Cenat's channel for the third time, and his performance sparked controversy. In his trick, Major placed his head into a rope's loop and put two handles in front of Cenat. He then asked the streamer to pull one of the handles. The trick was that one handle could lead to him choking before the camera.

As Kai Cenat made his choice, Major choked while hanging. Cenat's entire team abruptly stopped and tried to bring Major down safely while they were all seemingly in distress. This also led to Cenat getting banned from Twitch.

As the whole stunt did not go well with the audience, Major clarified, via his YouTube video, that he tricked Cenat into picking the wrong handle. In the video titled" A message to Kai Cenat," he said:

"You wanted to see me fail, and I thought tonight, I will give you exactly what you asked for. You thought the game was for me to influence you to make the right choice but all along, I planned to influence you to make the wrong choice and I knew you'd pick the wrong handle."

Max Major issues clarification about the prank he pulled on Kai Cenat's Twitch Livestream

Major faced a lot of criticism from netizens for going through with such a dangerous stunt. Via X (formerly Twitter), he claimed that Cenat's team was aware of the stunt. He wrote:

"I did not lie to Kai’s team about the stunt i was going to perform on Mafiathon 2 and this was not an attempt to get him banned.
"The stunt was coordinated with his team and cleared with Twitch. Before I even started preparing for this, the very first thing I did was ensure it wouldn’t jeopardize his channel or risk a ban," Major added.

He also added that Cenat's team was informed about the nature of the stunt. Major also wrote:

"To be crystal clear, this wasn’t something I decided to do last minute - this took weeks of meticulous planning and training."
"Twitch was aware of the stunt and after running it by the higher-ups, simply asked that we put 'professional stunt, do not attempt' on the screen."

Major then shared screenshots of his alleged chat with Cenat's team.

Despite the clarification, netizens shared their disappointment and wondered why he took two to three weeks to issue this statement.
