Kanye West, in a recent livestream on April 8, shot down Travis Scott's comments of the latter calling him "my kids' uncle." West's comments come after Travis' April 8 interview with Complex, where he spoke highly about the rapper and called him "family."

"That's my kids uncle. That guy took me in when I was young, when I was like 19. He taught me a lot about music. And not even just 'taught' me, but he allowed me to experience the creation of music. To create music with him, it's what helped me grow, making a lot of beats. Whether it's writing and collabing on music and film or clothes or whatever the f**k it is, just constantly learning."

However, West does not feel the same about Travis Scott, and in his livestream said,

"I read something about Trav commenting on my comments and I'm just like, bro all this idea of uncle and brother? This ain't no actual family. There's no men who have footing in the situation. We don't come together and actually have any control of our kids. It's like we so concerned about being in the industry that we let our kids get indoctrined to the industry."

Kanye West was seemingly referring to the Kardashian family since he was married to Kim Kardashian, and Scott was dating Kim's sister, Kylie Jenner, before they split up in January 2023. While West and Kim share four children, Psalm, Chicago, Saint, and North, Kylie and Travis share 2 children, Aire and Stormi.

More about Kanye West and Travis Scott's friendship

Travis Scott allegedly unfollowed Kanye West after his antisemitic tirade against Jews. While opening about how he feels about Travis' comments of him, despite unfollowing him on social media, West in his April 8 livestream said,

"So when they asked Trav (about me in his new interview, it was) literally textbook Jewish response like, 'Ah man, that's my kids' uncle. N**gga you not talking about how I was on the original Future Bounce and then you put Future on it and had me bounce. And there's just no conversation and it's all, 'We gon' do some hugs afterwards.' And that's why I was like, I'm not gonna take it! There's no more hugs."

West has been in the middle of controversies for making antisemitic comments on X and showing support for Hitler. Kanye West's fashion brand, Ye, also put up Swastika t-shirts for sale on their website.
