Nicki Minaj, a.k.a. Barbz, was expected to meet with fans at a sneaker launch event in Cleveland during her Pink Friday 2 tour. However, not everyone got to meet her as the session ended abruptly. One Barb from Cleveland stood for hours in anticipation of the Super Bass singer, but was left disappointed when the meet-and-greet session ended.
However, in true Nicki Minaj fashion, she offered the fan a chance to fly out for another tour date of their choosing. Nicki initially made a surprise visit to a local shoe store to celebrate her collaboration with LOCI, which launched in DTLR. Fans started rushing to the store to meet the rapper, but not everyone got their turn. One fan took to X to share her grievances, tweeting:
"Stood standing all day from 1pm to finally getting closer to the entrance just to announce meets are over. @NICKIMINAJ. My heart is broken mother. Thank you to the Barbz that had my back #GagCityCleveland #NickixLøcixDTLR."
However, Barbz herself tweeted back, when she caught wind of it, telling the fan she'll fly her out, plus three, to "another city." She told her to "pick one on the tour & message Pedro on Twitter." Fans online were touched, with many showering her with praise and adoration. "they can never make me hate you," one fan tweeted at the singer.
Several others gushed over Nicki Minaj and her actions.
"I always tell people one of the biggest reasons i love you is because you the barbz the same way we love you. this is a perfect example. You really have the biggest heart," one user appreciated.
"You have the biggest heart ever," one user shared.
"we love a generous queen," yet another said.
Soon, others chimed in with echoing sentiments, all to appreciate the Anaconda singer's generosity.
"Starting to realize more and more that I was wrong about Nicki… I always believed she was the greatest woman to ever rap.. but she’s also a great human being.... going at Jay for Wayne was amazing and now this..," another fan noted.
"Nicki... you are... GOD SENT," one user exclaimed.

This isn't the only reason Nicki Minaj made headlines this week. On September 9, the singer made it known that she was not happy with the NFL's choice for the Super Bowl LIX Halftime Show, i.e. Kendrick Lamar. She thought it should go to Lil Wayne instead. However, ESPN’s sports commentator Stephen A. Smith ridiculed the singer for getting "in a beef" with seemingly everyone.
He said on the Stephen A. Smith Show on Thursday, September 12,
“Who else you gonna get in a beef with. Lil Kim, Mariah Carey, Cardi B, Gucci Mane, Taylor Swift, Demi Lovato. Every time we turn around it’s something, Nicki. You disagree with the decision. You got to talk about [Jay-Z] like that? And why are we talking about Jay-Z like he’s some sort of sellout or something?”
He continued about Jay-Z's toils in picking Lamar, adding that it is quite hard "for a Black man" to pull off what Jay-Z has pulled off in terms of making sure Black folks get that kinda center stage to promote their brand and build their profile.
He then dubbed her "unappreciative," noting that it isn't about Nicki Minaj's individuality, it is simply about all Black people. He also appreciated Jay-Z for being "front and center pushing envelopes.”
However, Barbz shot back that same day with a cutthroat word choice.
“Oh look yall another paid laughy taffy alien who only comes off his knees to turn around & back dat azz up. LMFAOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. Stephen, we don’t care. Ima tell u right now. We don’t care. If I say more it’ll be your fault. Sit down ugly.”
Nicki Minaj then, seemingly on purpose, confused Smith with Shannon Sharpe, his partner from First Take. The latter accidentally went live on Instagram while engaging in intimacy with a woman, which she referenced:
“Stephen wasn’t you just moanin & groanin on live in your bedroom ? LMFAOOOO. And since we here in women’s business…ladies; when should men just shave their full head. Should it take its normal course like SAS Sassy a– or should he look into lace fronts?”
Nicki Minaj is nearing the end of her Pink Friday 2 world tour, set to conclude on October 11.
