Patricia Heaton took to social media to unleash her wrath on mainstream media for "fear-mongering." She denounced the "media" and "pundits" for their handling of this election cycle, calling on them for allegedly asserting that voting for President Trump means voting for a threat to their way of life.
The actress took to X on Saturday, where she accused the media personalities of manipulating suggestible women into believing that the President-elect would infringe on their rights. She also called on them to hop back on social media and rectify their wrongdoings. She said, in her video:
"Apparently, there are some really vulnerable people here who you targeted, and you fear-mongered to and you need to go back on the air and tell them things are going to be okay, tell them that they’re fine."
Patricia Heaton ridicules all the women who decried Trump, says they're "going to be fine"
In her video, which has since gone viral, garnering over 853K views by Wednesday, captioned "Reality check," here's what Patricia Heaton said:
"To all these extremists that are allowed television time, who told women that this is what is going to happen to them, shame on you! Shame on you!
She continued, making her fear-mongering comments, before she added:
"Also, stop saying people who voted differently from you are ‘uneducated’. Learn your f-ing lesson about smearing people who vote differently from you, who have different needs from you, who have legitimate complaints. Quit dismissing them as uneducated. When are you going to learn?"
Patricia Heaton then went on to decry women who have been wailing about their reproductive rights potentially going for a toss. She said:
"I've also seen a lot of the response videos - especially from women who are crying, screaming, shaving their heads, saying their going to be jailed or rounded up or killed or hunted or whatever. We need to pray for them and I just want to say to all of you folks who feel that way, don't make politics or identity groups your religion! Only Jesus is the same yesterday, today and forever. Put your faith in Him, not in men, not in man's institutions, not in human institutions."
She went on to divulge that she had recently paid a visit to the Israeli kibbutz, the site at which several women and babies were captured during the Hamas attack on October 7, 2023. In her two minute long vieo, she also told all the women who follow her, out of 573.5K followers,
"You're fine here, you're going to be fine, don't worry about it."
Patricia Heaton's response comes in the wake of mounting discontent over President Donald Trump's landslide victory over Kamala Harris.
Heaton, a vocal "pro-lifer", has also come under fire for her stance in the past. In response to her latest post, several were quick to express their dismay at her opinion.
