IShowSpeed's "Hand of God" stunt garners polarizing reactions on X
Although IShowSpeed's backflip seemed quite risky in his viral reel, some were keen to ask about a safety net below the "Hand of God" viewpoint. Here are some of the users doubting the setup of Speed's recent stunt:
"He is caping. Show us more of the frame. – There is likely a safety net under," a user wrote.
"Isn't here a protection net or something like that there," another user posted.
"chill that hand is like 6 foot above the ground," someone tried to downplay the risk.
"No he didn't. Theres literally a catch net in the bottom," a user pointed out the safety net visible in a different picture.
"But he actually didn't risk his life because there is a safety net under the hand! Therefore, apart from falling from the hand onto the next, there wasn't any risk at all!," another user mentioned the safety net.
Whether there was a safety net or not, IShowSpeed executed the backflip with perfection, which amassed him praise from some X users.
"Hes the main character. He knows he has plot armor," a user tweeted.
"Ight I'll give him this one. Wild. Balls of steel," another one wrote.
Someone said,
"Nah I respect Speed for always risking his life to give his fans this type of content 🔥"
A user declared,
"Speed being a top 1% athlete isnt talked about enough."
"Normal people can't even stand up there without their legs shaking..but this man, he was sent by God himself 🙏😭," another user praised Speed.
Some users were also worried about the danger involved and criticized Speed.
A user displayed their displeasure,
"where's the 'don't try this at home.' you know literal children watch him right."
Another user criticized,
"Was that worth almost dying for?"
Someone wrote,
"This generation be risking their life's to the extreme for clout money & views loool god had him this time literally."
"Dude you already rich and famous what do you have to prove," another one expressed.
For the uninitiated, the hand sculpture where Speed executed his stunt is one of the many similar viewpoints in Guatemala. The mountainside location is a part of a national park, which the YouTuber visited during his South America tour. He is also streaming the trip through IRL streams. Apart from Guatemala, IShowSpeed will also be seen visiting countries like Argentina, Colombia, Ecuador, Chile, and Uruguay, which he officially announced a few days back.
