After the success of the first two seasons of The Summer I Turned Pretty, creator and writer Jenny Han dropped a clue about season 3's release window on her Instagram. The well-liked series available on Prime Video is adapted from Han's trilogy of the same name. The story follows Isabel Conklin (Lola Tung) and the love triangle she finds herself in with two brothers, Conrad (Christopher Briney) and Jeremiah (Gavin Casalegno).

As already confirmed by multiple sources, The Summer I Turned Pretty season 3 was already confirmed in August 2023, but due to the actors' and writers' strike, filming of new episodes was delayed. It seems the wait will be over soon.

Considering all these, the news of the season 3 release window has left fans excited and anticipating more than ever.

The Summer I Turned Pretty creator drops a hint for the season 3 window

During the holiday season, the creator of The Summer I Turned Pretty shared on Instagram a Christmas-themed post, hinting at a season 3 feature of the same. The author captioned the post:

"Can’t wait to spend Christmas in Cousins with you guys this summer.”

As both of the seasons prior to season 3 of The Summer I Turned Pretty were released during the summer, the new release will probably keep the tradition ongoing. Furthermore, as per the reports, season 3 will have 11 episodes. The first and second seasons had 7 and 8 episodes, respectively.

The Summer I Turned Pretty season 3 will adapt the third novel of Han, We'll Always Have Summer, which is set two years later than the occurrence of the second book. While Belly continues to be in a love triangle with two brothers, Conrad and Jeremiah. As we know that the content of the Prime Video adaptation has diverged from the source material in the earlier seasons, and the details about the third season are kept on the down-low, the fans may have to wait a little more to see what will happen next.

As the new season has three more episodes than the last season, the co-showrunners, Jenny Han and Sarah Kucserka, will have more room to explore the relationships between the leads.

The Summer I Turned Pretty has an apt starring cast, which mainly includes Lola Tung as Belly and Christopher Briney as Conrad, Gavin Casalegno as Jeremiah, among many others such as Jackie Chung, Colin Ferguson, Rachel Blanchard, and more. A few more entries make it plausible for this romantic drama to peel off a few more layers from these characters and their crisscrossing relationships.

Now, with the countdown officially on, fans can prepare to once again immerse themselves in the heartfelt and tumultuous world of Belly, Conrad, and Jeremiah at Cousins Beach.
