Popular singer and songwriter, Charli XCX, will produce and act in a film called The Moment. The English artist is teaming up with A24 for the project, which will be based on her own original idea. This will not be the first time the Grammy-nominated singer will act in a film.

The involvement of a studio like A24 suggests that the idea and story of The Moment might be meritorious. Charli will support the film through her production company, Studio 365. Fans of the singer will see her illicit emotions through a storyline this time, which is something she generally does with her music.

Variety has reported that singer-songwriter Charli XCX collaborates with A24 to produce and star in The Moment. It will be the maiden project of her production company, Studio 365. While we don't know much about the story, it is reportedly based on an idea Charli had shared. A24 will be also handling the film's release globally.

The Moment will be directed by Aidan Zamiri who is a director and photographer from Scotland. It will be his feature-length directorial debut. The script has been written by him and Bertie Brandes while the score has been composed by A.G. Cook. The latter has frequently worked with the Boom Clap singer.

Along with Charli and A24, the film is being produced by David Hinojosa under his company, 2AM. The executive producers of the film include Mikey Schwartz-Wright, Zach Nutman, and Brandon Creed.

The Moment is a part of several acting projects Charli has been associated with lately. Others include Faces of Death, 100 Nights of Hero, Sacrifice, The Gallerist, and I Want Your S*x. All these films are from different genres and will be released in the near future. Apart from these projects, Charli also played a brief role in the series, Overcompensating.

Earlier, Charli had spoken about doing something different in her life away from music. The singer told Variety that she read about it before making the pivot and said:

“I hate it when musicians dive into a different field, head-first, without really researching or learning much of anything about it.”

She added:

“So I did a lot of reading to educate myself over the past three or four years before I actually did anything.”

Charli has recently received several nominations at the Brit Awards in different categories including Artist of the Year among others. Several singers in the past have tried their hands at acting like Lady Gaga, David Bowie, and Beyonce among others.
