Singer and actress Lady Gaga is over the moon with her relationship with entrepreneur Michael Polansky. In an interview with Vogue published on September 5, 2024, she revealed her life has changed after meeting Polansky. The couple reportedly got engaged in April 2024 after spending a day rock climbing.

Gaga and Polansky have been together for almost five years. They first met in 2019 through the singer’s mother, Cynthia Germanotta, the co-founder of the Born This Way Foundation. Cynthia and Polansky met during their philanthropic work. The entrepreneur was a long-time associate of Sean Parker, co-founder of Napster and Facebook's founding president.

Lady Gaga recalled,

“My mom met him and she said to me, ‘I think I just met your husband”

The singer reposed saying she wasn’t ready to meet anyone. She met him on Sean Parker’s 40th birthday and said she had the most amazing conversation with Michael Polansky. After conversing for weeks, both fell in love. In the Vogue Interview piece, Polansky said:

“I didn’t know much about her and honestly wasn’t sure what to expect. I was struck immediately by her warmth and openness, she was so genuinely curious about what my life was like growing up in Minnesota.”

During the Covid-19 pandemic, the couple quarantined together at the singer’s Malibu house. He added that the pandemic was not difficult for Lady Gaga as she was used to being isolated owing to her fame. Polansky further recalled that their relationship was boosted by activities like taking walks, playing with dogs, making coffee, and reading together.

Lady Gaga said she was grateful for not being alone during the pandemic

While discussing the COVID-19 pandemic, the Bloody Mary singer said it was difficult to see how it impacted the world. Nonetheless, she was grateful to have Michael Polansky by her side. She also mentioned their lives differed, but she wanted her fans to know she was happy and healthy.

“Not only how sick people got, so many people died, but also so many people were alone. I feel very grateful that I wasn’t alone. I had never met anyone like Michael. He’s so smart and so kind,”

She also touched on her 2020 album Chromatica, which was about her difficult time with mental health. The singer said she was in a dark place and had struggled for many years. However, her situation began to change when Polanksy came into her life. He stood by her during the difficult phase and understood her on a deep level.

Lady Gaga was engaged twice before, first to actor Taylor Kinney in 2015. She got engaged to Christian Carino in 2018 but called it quits in February 2019.
