The Life List official trailer
Netflix has dropped the official trailer for The Life List, which runs for two minutes and 20 seconds. It opens with Alex Rose getting something that her late mother wanted her to have. The gift is actually a DVD that her mother recorded for her, which consists of a list of things Alex should do in life.
One of the things on the list is to do standup comedy. The follow-up scene is of Alex trying to do stand-up comedy and being told by the crowd that she isn't funny. The video then culminates into a series of scenes and motivational dialogues which showcase the character's journey.
The Life List has Sofia Carson playing the lead role of Alex Rose, who is grieving the loss of her mother. She then has to go on and achieve her goals after discovering a list from her mom's video. Sofia has appeared in films like Tini: The Movie, Carry-On, and My Little Pony: A New Generation. Other cast members include:
- Kyle Allen as Brad
- Ben Warheit as Jackson
- Connie Britton as Elizabeth
- Sebastian de Souza as Garrett
- José Zúñiga as Samuel
- Jordi Mollà as Johnny
- Marianne Rendón as Zoe
- Chelsea Frei as Megan
In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Carson said that she agreed to do the film because of the rapport she shared with her real life mother:
"I think one of the reasons that Adam and I connected so deeply was because of my relationship with my mom. He felt it really mirrored Alex and Elizabeth's relationship."
The script was given to Carson by her mother and she connected with the character.
"I connected to Alex pretty instantly. Alex is all of us at some point in our lives, and the journey that she takes is so beautiful and meaningful; so simple, yet so powerful."
The Life List will start premiering on Netflix on March 28, 2025.
