The Jonas Brothers are coming back to Disney for a brand new Christmas comedy film

The Jonas Brothers are making a comeback to where they started, and that is their Disney roots, with an all-new Christmas comedy film expected to get a release date during the 2025 holidays.

This energizing collab highlights yet another breakthrough in the trio's long-lasting relationship with Disney, where they first rose to stardom when they were mere teenagers, with Kevin being 17, Joe being 15, and Nick being 12 in the year 2006.


The Jonas Brothers Christmas movie: The plot and production team

The new upcoming Jo Bro holiday Christmas film, whose current working title is Jonas Brothers Christmas Movie, will be following the three brothers as they attempt to navigate a number of muddled and humoristic hindrances to make it home right in time for Christmas all the way from London to New York.

The Jonas Brothers movie will be directed by Oscar winner Jessica Yu, who is an Oscar winner, and she is best recognized for her works on This is Us and Quiz Lady.

The film will be written and produced by Isaac Aptaker and Elizabeth Berger. It will be backed by 20th Television, which is a subgroup of the Disney Television Studios.

Sprinkling some more festive aura, Grammy-nominated songwriter Justin Tranter will be sharing the stage as an executive music producer for the Jonas Brothers project. Tranter will be creating some original songs specially crafted for the film, ensuring that the soundtrack captures the essence of the holiday season.

The Jonas Brothers are also on board as producers, teaming up with Adam Fishbach, Spencer Berman, and Scott Morgan to get life into their newly announced project.


A Nostalgic Reunion with Disney

The Jonas Brothers and them being with Disney dates all the way back to their career when they started off as teenagers. Their second self-titled album was released under Hollywood Records, which is also a Disney-owned label.

Their official breakout roles came from their appearances in the Camp Rock movies and their Disney Channel series titled Jonas.

After their contract at Disney, the boyband disbanded in 2013, with each of them journeying through their own solo projects before making a comeback as a band in 2019, making an elated return to the music scene as a band. Their most recent album, titled The Album, was released in the year 2023.

With them making a comeback to Disney in 2025, the legacy that they built brings forth with them a feeling of nostalgia that The Jonas Brothers fans that have stuck with them for all this time would come to love.
