Jake Paul and Mike Tyson took the internet by storm for their face-off in the ring last year. Their anticipated fight ended with Paul winning via unanimous decision. However, this time, it is not the fight that is making the headlines. Rather, Paul claimed that Tyson cured his Parkinson's with the help of Psychedelics. His statement sparked widespread controversy, and the YouTuber-turned-boxer had to clarify his statement.
During a live stream with Adin Ross, Jake Paul discussed his fight with the former heavyweight champion. While talking about the popular fight, he suggested that Tyson had Parkinson's disease ahead of the fight. However, he added that the 58-year-old cured it with 5-MeO-DMT, commonly known as Toad Venom.
He said,
"Toad is what cured Mike Tyson’s Parkinson’s… no, sorry, toad cured Tyson’s Parkinson’s so he could come back and fight."
When the host asked how to consume the venom, Paul said, "You smoke it."
For the unversed, Tyson returned to professional boxing for the first time since 2005. Their fight was earlier scheduled for July 2024, but due to medical concerns, it was postponed to November 15, 2024.
Following his claims, Paul took to his X (formerly Twitter) handle and wrote,
"Bruh…Mike Tyson didn’t have no Parkinsons..W*F. Why the f**k is the internet so stupid for. I misspoke. Meant he used toad to heal his pain. He has spoken about it many times. Just like I do. Just like many do."

Netizens react to Jake Paul's claim about Mike Tyson
Netizens have been widely reacting to Jake Paul's claim about Tyson. An X user penned that Paul "always knows how to grab headlines," but claiming that psychedelics healed Tyson was "a bit out there."
Another commented that they
"Didn’t know Jake Paul can go any lower than fighting old men."
Many others defended Tyson and argued that Paul's claims were untrue.
Previously, Tyson has talked openly about his use of psychedelic substances. Before his match against Roy Jones Jr, he credited Toad Venom for helping him lose weight. He discussed using the same psychedelic on The Joe Rogan Experience and mentioned that he "did this toad, this DMT stuff" and lost that weight. He claimed he did not know what happened and just said, "'I’m going to do this.’ The toad said, ‘You gotta do this.’"
The particular psychedelic has gained a lot of popularity in the country because of its immediate effects.
