A new Instagarm post from Jamie Foxx seems to update fans about reports of an altercation that took place during his birthday dinner at Mr Chow on December 13, 2024.
The 57-year-old Academy Award winner has shared a cryptic post on his Instagram account on December 15 which reads,
“The devil is busy... but I'm too blessed to be stressed."
He shared the post along with a message for his fans and followers where he thanked them for their support.
“The devil is a lie. Can’t win here… thank you to everybody that pray and check on me… when your light is shining bright… they try to bring you darkness … but they don’t know that you’re built for it… the lights have been shining bright…” he wrote.
In the second half of the message, the Django Unchained actor thanked fans for watching his Netflix special, Jamie Fox: What Had Happened Was... and encouraged others to "please go check it out."
“and huge thank yous to everyone that have watched and been inspired by “What Had Happened Was” … number 1 on @netflix if you haven’t checked it out please go check it out it’s from my heart and my soul…” Foxx concluded.
Reports of an altercation involving Jamie Foxx broke on December 13, 2024, mentioneding that the actor was injured during the incident at the Beverly Hills restaurant, Mr Chow.
What happened during Jamie Foxx’s birthday dinner?
On December 14, TMZ quoted a spokesperson of Jamie Foxx saying that the actor was attending a birthday dinner at Mr Chow when somebody threw a glass at him that hit him on his mouth. Foxx is currently recovering after stitches. The report added that the matter is now in the law enforcement’s hands.
“Jamie Foxx was at his birthday dinner when someone from another table threw a glass that hit him in the mouth. He had to get stitches and is recovering. The police were called and the matter is now in law enforcement’s hands.” A spokesperson for Jamie informed TMZ.
In a tweet shared on December 15, the Beverly Hills Police Department clarified that “the reported assault with a deadly weapon was unfounded. Instead, the incident involved a physical altercation between parties.” However, no arrests were made.
The actor recently celebrated the release of his Netflix special, Jamie Fox: What Had Happened Was..., during which he revealed that he suffered a brain bleed in April 2023, which resulted in a deadly stroke. He thanked his 16-year-old daughter Anelise for playing an important role in his recovery as his vitals improved, expressing her music as a "spiritual defibrillator.”
“My vitals were so bad they were going to lose me,” he said. “That’s when a miracle happened. And that miracle was working through my youngest daughter.” Foxx said.
Jamie Foxx will be next seen in Back in Action along with Cameron Diaz. The Seth Gordon directorial is scheduled for release on January 17, 2025. Also currently under development is King Spawn, a reboot of the original Spawn film where he plays AI Simmons.
