The Accountant director shares the future of the franchise with new spin-offs

The Accountant director is serious about making it a fully fledged franchise. For now, we had in consideration the three films that were going to tone down the seriousness in their follow-ups. We are about to see the second chapter in the Ben Affleck starrer film, where Jon Bernthal will have more focus in contrast to the original. And there's likely to be the third, as Gavin O'Connor, which he once called "Rain Man on steroids."

But that's not all; there's also a TV series planned, and he gave us a glimpse of how the creators are going about it. In a recent interview with ScreenRant, he said,

That's a great question, no one's asked me that one. So, the series was never going to be with Ben. The series that Bill and I have been working on, and want to do eventually, is really about Justine and her and all the kids at Harbor Neuroscience, and how they operate there. The idea for the series is Justine has other accountants out in the world, Christian isn't the only one. So, I'd probably bring Ben in for a cameo here and there. But that's a whole separate world of accountants. We want to build out a whole universe of accountants. So nothing from the TV idea, in any way, was working its way into this movie.

Alison Wright plays Justine and is set to reprise her role in The Accountant 2, which will be released on April 25, 2025.

Justine was revealed to be Christian's partner in The Accountant

Christian Wolff, whom Ben Affleck portrays in the film, is seen meeting a young girl (Izzy Fenech) when he was attending Harbor Neuroscience as a kid (Seth Lee portrays his young version). She helps him as he struggles with a puzzle but doesn't say anything.

However, that seemingly mute girl is ever-present throughout the film, guiding Chris as he goes about his deeds. She is more of a voice that Affleck's character keeps interacting with. Turns out that the lady behind the voice is Justine in a twisted ending.

The character is returning in The Accountant 2, but Alison Wright is portraying her in the latest film. But Connor has spoken about her in the past and confirmed that Justine will have a larger part in the sequel. We cannot say anything about the third film, but she is likely to be in there, given her pivotal role.
