A video of Stephen Colbert grooving on the dance floor with Oprah Winfrey by his side is going viral, and not in the best way. Winfrey organized the star-studded birthday party for her friend, Gayle King, over the weekend; clips from the same have been doing the rounds online.
In one such video, Colbert can be seen vibing with Winfrey to Beyoncé’s song Cuff It, and at one point, he even twirls. The video has since drawn varied reactions, and here’s what one user had to say:
"That spin is sending me."
Others weighed in as well, with many commenting on Oprah’s dance moves as well:
"He got more rhythm than Oprah 😂," one user joked.
"Oprah got that rich asf dance," another pointed out.
"You better spin on ‘em, Colbert!!! 😂🙌🏾," someone else stated.
The comments didn’t end there:

As reported by Page Six, Colbert was attending the party Oprah Winfrey threw for best friend Gayle King, and she “almost” gave her a “heart attack” on her 70th birthday. The billionaire author and TV host kicked off the celebrations two weeks early, and she brought in all her friends and family to do it at the Ci Siamo in New York City.
She also took to Instagram to upload a video of the same on Sunday, and the caption read:
"My bestie of 50 years is turning 70 so we gathered everyone that loved her to celebrate. Hard thing to surprise her, O the stories we have made up, the lies we have told to keep this a secret. Happy birthday @gayleking, sorry we almost gave you a heart attack😂.”
King also took to her Instagram account to upload the same clip with a different caption:
"Talk about a surprise !!! I thought I was going to @oprah’s holiday dinner for the @oprahdaily team at her favorite restaurant @cisiamonyc and then THIS happened …."
In the video, the two women can be seen walking arm-in-arm into the restaurant when a large group of people yells “Surprise!” at the birthday girl. She became visibly shocked and startled as she flung her purse onto a nearby table and took her hands to her chest as a show of shock.
As for Winfrey, she found the whole thing amusing as she laughed beside her. Gayle King’s son, 37-year-old William Bumpus Jr., was the first to greet his mother, followed by his sister, Kirby Bumpus, 38. Per Page Six, at one point, Oprah raised a glass to her friend:
"There’s nobody in the world like Gayle King! Next year marks a half a century that we have been friends and in all those years there’s never been an argument, a disruption or any of kind of jealousy or bad feelings.”
