Cardi B, a new mother of three, resorted to Instagram Live to call out the prankster who told on her to Child Protective Services, alleging that her three kids were in danger. Seemingly in a hospital bed, the 32-year-old Grammy winner pledged to hire celebrity attorney Drew Findling to hit back at cops and the person responsible.

The WAP singer told her 165 million followers, even as she couldn't "even breathe right now," that the pranksters have taken things too far when they mess with her kids. She vowed to "get to the bottom of it."

Cardi B continued, revealing that CPS came to her "gated mansion at 11 p.m." while her children were asleep "because there’s an anonymous call that there been going on that, that my kids have been getting abused and beaten." She reiterated that the prank had gone "too far" and was "not funny."

The internet seemingly concurred, with many pointing out that bothering Cardi B was uncalled for. The video began circulating on X, and many chimed in to share their thoughts. One user shared,

"That’s messed up for someone to do. However, by law if CPS gets a call about child neglect they have to follow up on it. & they can’t give out the information on who made the call. You can’t Sue them for doing their jobs."

Several others pointed out that there are more dire situations where CPS could have been; instead, they were responding to the prank call. However, several noted that it was unfair of Cardi B to sue the agency because they were "just doing their jobs."

"Ok.. I understand your frustration.. Even though this was wrong..Child protective services are doing their job. Suing for doing what is in their legal right to investigate will not be much of a defense. Were your children removed from your home or custody? You do need to get to the bottom of the initial caller. All calls, regardless if you live in a mansion, a private home or cardboard box will be investigated. Especially if they believe children are in danger. Sorry for the inconvenience, but just because you are a celebrity, the laws apply to you as well..-Good Luck," one user penned.
"they forget that she has won all the lawsuits and has best lawyers that person better count their days," another chimed in.
"she can’t sue CPS for doing their job i’m honestly not sure she can even sue the people that called because that’s confidential and CPS can’t disclose that information," yet another pointed out.

Others, however, began speculating about the caller's identity. Many began positing that the culprit was likely a Barbz, i.e., a Nicki Minaj fan.

"This has barbs written all over it," one user shared.
"Is this new? It looks like she’s in the hospital. I hope she’s OK. Genuinely, I really hope she’s OK," another prayed for the rapper.
"Love cardi down but she doesn’t have a case….. she needs to find out who the initial caller was and maybe go from there," someone else suggested.

It remains to be seen how the case pans out for the culprit and just how far Cardi B really goes.

Cardi B reiterates the gravity of the situation, threatens physical violence on the culprit

The Bodak Yellow rapper continued her tirade on Instagram Live, reflecting on how quickly things could have taken a dire turn for them as they were the only people of color on the block. She said,

"We’re the only colored people in my neighborhood completely and for motherf–kers to pop up in my house with cops and child protective services because you motherf–kers wanna do an anonymous call involving my children… I promise you this, I’m gonna sue CPS for f–king coming to my house at whatever the f–k time it is.”

Cardi B continued, reasserting her vows of "getting to the bottom of this" and hiring "the best private investigator in the whole" country "because y’all take joking and y’all take s–t a little too far." She laid down the conditions: her kids, motherhood, and baby daddy Offset's fatherhood were off-limits.

"My kids live great. My kids have never been touched, never gotten hit no matter how annoying they are. I never hit my kids. They go to the best school, my daughter [expletive] school tuition [expletive] ees is $45,000. I spend more money on my kids’ bill than I spend money on clothes for myself. We take very great care of our kids.”

However, her tirade didn't end there, as she also threatened physical violence on whoever did this. Cardi B declared that if it were a "boy," her "baby father is gonna beat" them, and if it were a girl, she and her sister, Hennessy, were going to "beat" them because they "played" with her kids."

Cardi B gave birth to her first child, Kulture Kiari Cephus, in July 2018. By 2021, she and baby daddy Offset welcomed their second child, a boy named Wave Set Cephus. While they have yet to reveal the name of their third child, the little girl was born on September 7, 2024.
