Healthcare worker Lucrecia Koiyan, from Loganville, Georgia, is under fire for alleged provocative dancing while standing on the handles of a patient's wheelchair in viral footage, which has now been deleted. In the video, the man seems to remain silent with his head bent down.
After the video went viral, netizens took to social media to disapprove of Koiyan's behavior and allegedly noted that her act was insensitive.
After FearBuck reposted the video on X, users took to comment, calling her behavior "absurd."
"How did people like this end up as a health worker 🤦🏼♂️" - a user noted.
"Too many people get into the Healthcare field for the wrong reasons. I understand it’s another job, but you should have some sort of compassion for others." - another user mentioned.
"the issue is she’s 19 taking care of people and their health, when she can’t even take care of herself" - a user noted.
"It's not what it looks like" - Healthcare worker Lucrecia Koyan defends herself
Lucrecia Koiyan, a Georgia-based healthcare worker, while responding to the backlash over a viral video of her provocatively dancing on the handles of a patient's wheelchair, defended herself by blaming the "angle" of the camera.
"It's not what it looks like, trust and believe, angles play a part. A lot of people want to comment about s*xual assault, rape, all type of dumb s**t. Trust and believe, he is verbal and I got proof."
She also went on to add,
"He looks very aware and comfortable to me so y'all need to stop jumping to conclusions. I do see how it looks but trust me it's not that. "
The 19-year-old was charged with felony for her actions in the video. She was charged with exploitation of a disabled person after authorities were alerted of the said viral video on January 23. The Loganville Police Department launched an investigation after the video went viral, with Police Chief Dick Lowry condemning the act, reportedly stating that he was "disgusted" with it.
As per reports, this isn't the only video of Koyan twerking, and she may have filmed another video dancing with a man seated in a bathtub. However, the police have not confirmed additional charges.
Koiyan now remains in Walton County Jail, and the authorities are in the process of reviewing whether other victims are involved.
