Taylor Swift keeps it cool at the Grammys as Kanye West and Bianca Censori cause a stir

Taylor Swift managed to stay clear of any undue drama at this year's Grammys. The 'Bad Blood' artist, who has a well-documented history of drama with Kanye West was fortunate to avoid the rapper, after he and his wife made waves just prior to show on the red carpet. Swift and West's initial rift dates back to 2009, when Ye infamously interrupted Taylor's acceptance speech at the MTV VMA's to lobby for Beyoncé.

In the years following, the tensions cooled and the two even became friends, until the artist's then-wife leaked Snapchats of private conversations between the two in regards to his 2016 hit "Famous." The dueling artists have not interacted since, although after West's pre-Grammys tirade on X, he notably only followed Tylor Swift on Instagram, before eventually following his wife Bianca as well.

For her part, Taylor seemed to have a ball at the award show, mingling with contemporaries and friends throughout the night. She could even be spotted singing and dancing during many of the show's most gripping and captivating moments, even presenting Beyoncé with the award for Best Country Album.

Swift also sparked laughter when she playfully grabbed Erivo's finger, recreating the viral "holding space" moment with her Wicked co-star Ariana Grande from the film's press tour.

Erivo performed during the awards show as part of a tribute to the late Quincy Jones.

Kanye & Bianca

Kanye West pulled up to this year’s Grammy Awards with wife Bianca Censori and stole the show before it even started. The controversial rapper and designer arrived to the event’s red carpet, wife in tow, in a seemingly subdued look for the pair until the tables turned quick.

For his part, Ye was seen wearing black sunglasses. While walking the carpet, however, Bianca turned her back to the media, and removed her fur coat to reveal a see-through slip.

While these kind of shocking and bold fashion choices have become a staple of her look since coupling up with Ye, the shock of their arrival paired with her outfit, caused social media to enter an absolute frenzy.

The pair arrived at Los Angeles’ Crypto.com Arena in a move that surprised fans and attendees alike. Even though one's fashion choices are a matter of preference and personal sensibilities, the time and place of it all is what truly has netizens up in arms, as the Grammys are an internationally publicised event.

A global appreciation for music less than a platform for the uber famous to garner more attention. As a result, the 30 year old Australian model is being dragged for her bodacious outfit and perceived lack of awareness at a time in which even self-expression can come across as offensive to show's audience.

In the aftermath of the red carpet chaos, to make matters even more confounding, the enigmatic pair were reportedly nowhere to be found inside the venue itself.

This sent the narrative into overdrive, as speculation began as to whether the couple were invited in the first place, or simply showed up to the awards fare uninvited. By extension, many began to wonder whether they were forcibly removed from the event after wreaking havoc on the red carpet despite the age and industry standing of many in attendance.

Subsequently, a source close to the Grammys spokespeople dispelled the rumour of any undue appearance by the couple, summarily dismissing them as “not true” and that West simply “walked the carpet, got in his car and left.”

An ad for Kanye’s Yeezy merch also played at the event leading to more questions about their appearance. While he was nominated for hit song “Carnival” off his most recent Vultures 2 record, it appears that couple’s appearance may have been a publicity stunt to boost apparel sales through the sheer number of mentions their actions would undoubtedly generate.

It’s also coincidental that murmurings of Kanye’s Bully album are growing increasingly louder and the rapper is gearing up to drop his upcoming solo album sometime in the near future.
