Taylor Sheridan's much-anticipated action film F.A.S.T. sees a major cast replacement: Reports

According to the latest reports, Taylor Sheridan's upcoming highly-anticipated action film (that goes the working title of F.A.S.T.) has seen a major cast replacement. Per Direct, Guardians of the Galaxy Star Chris Pratt (who was originally a part of the project) has now been replaced by a no-less-known face from another Taylor Sheridan classic.

As stated in a report from Daniel Richtman (a well-known industry insider), there have been rumors surrounding the casting of Brandon Sklenar from 1923 in the above-mentioned action movie. Though nothing is official as of now, the latest reports have caused a social media buzz, especially owing to such a big replacement for a project officiated years back.

Taylor Sheridan's upcoming action feature film is now in production, and the Yellowstone helmer is leading the project along with Warner Bros., per Direct. At the heart of the story lies an ex-Marine associated with the DEA as an undercover agent, whose duty is to track down big-scale drug operations inside the country and tear them apart.

Chris Pratt was earlier chosen in the above-mentioned role for F.A.S.T. But now, in his place, as the rumors go, Brandon Sklenar will take up the lead part. Given his familiarity with Sheridan (through 1923), the casting update is not fully unexpected.

Taylor Sheridan's engagement with Yellowstone and other Western spin-off dramas has kept his hands occupied since 2018, the time when F.A.S.T. was officially announced for the first time. Thus, there has not been much news about the movie's production since then.

But the latest casting update probably indicates a potential release window anytime soon. Per Direct, the budget of F.A.S.T. is somewhere around $70 to $80 million, and accommodating a big name like Chris Pratt (owing to his contribution to a franchise like Marvel) with these numbers might have been a challenge for the production house.
