While talking to VLADTV, Tony Yayo said:

"We can say free that man, you know it's hard beating the feds, they have a big conviction rate."

Yayo also noted that although Durk has been charged he hasn't been pronounced guilty with Vlad agreeing and urging caution while jumping to conclusions.

After the video of the interview went viral on YouTube, netizens disapproved of Yayo, noting the disrespect to the alleged victim's family.

More about Lil Durk's federal charges

Rapper Lil Durk was earlier arrested in Florida on October 25, 2024, while five members of his hip-hop crew, Only The Family, were detained in California. All of them were charged in connection to the murder of Quando Rondo's cousin in 2022.

Now, for the second time, Durk has been accused of being involved in another case, this time the murder of Stephon Mack outside the Youth Peace Center of Roseland on January 7, 2022. The Department of Justice has announced additional charges for the rapper including one count of conspiracy, one count of use of interstate facilities to commit murder-for-hire resulting in death, one count of using, carrying, and discharging firearms and a machine gun, and possessing such firearms in furtherance of a crime of violence resulting in death.

A year ago, the grand jury indicted two men, Anthony Montogmery-Wilson, and Preston Powell in Mack's murder. While dealing with their case, FMI linked the two men to Durk through texts, confidential informants, phone call metadata, and social media posts with one reading, "Did Durk give U that money?"

As per CBS News, the Feds believe that Mack was murdered to avenge the death of Lil Durk's brother. Investigators also believe that the plot against Quando Rondo was retaliation for the murder of Chicago OTF rapper, King Von.
