Suge Knight, the co-founder and former CEO of Death Row Records, spoke to NewsNations CUOMO for an interview, wherein he made pointed claims about Sean "Diddy" Combs and the music industry. According to Knight, Diddy was not just a perpetrator but a victim of abuse himself. The latter has been indicted on multiple felonies involving s*xual misconduct.
Knight is currently serving time for voluntary manslaughter, and he conducted the interview over the phone from prison. He told Chris Cuomo, the host, that Diddy's current predicament is a product of years of corruption in the industry and that his ways were taught to him by those who came before him. He also spoke about various initiation practices, such as the egg test.
Suge Knight claims Diddy was abused first back in the day
According to Suge Knight, who is in prison for a 28-year sentence, Diddy "was taught from people before him, and he did it to the younger people after him.” he continued, blowing the whistle on a practice known as the "egg test." All newcomers to the industry were subjected to the test as part of the initiation process. He said,
“Those guys pull their pants down and bent over. They stick (the egg) up their a–. Their eggs break. They say they’re not ready yet, they ain’t put enough work in. This is Hollywood.”
He continued, alleging that these practices have been going on for decades.
"Because this been going on in the industry for a whole bunch of years, for decades and at the same time. You know, nobody wanted to be true, and it shouldn’t have to be true."
According to Suge Knight, Diddy experienced the brunt of it back in the day and "hurt people, hurt people." He claimed that's how Diddy ended up "being a perpetrator." Chris Cuomo asked him if he was implying that Diddy himself was abused, to which Knight concurred, claiming that it was "done to him" first.
Suge Knight also reflected on Diddy's path to fame, noting that he initially only smoked marijuana but started using heavier substances once he signed on to other record labels. According to him, the "weird stuff" happened when they "got on drugs" and started drinking. He then name-dropped some major A-listers, whom Diddy allegedly abused when they were children.
"[Combs] was taught that. He got Usher as a kid … alcohol, drugs, s*x. Justin Bieber — and see they do these things to take control. … You choose to be g*y that’s your preference, but they’re doing this to people for control."
According to the felon, Clive Davis, Russell Simmons, and Andre Harrell “compromised” Combs’ “manhood.” However, neither of the three have been officially charged with these allegations. A spokesperson for Davis denied all the claims in a statement made to Page Six on Wednesday, noting that all of it "is a completely fabricated thread that is being trafficked by an incarcerated felon."
Suge Knight continued, claiming that several high profilers knew what was happening as he dropped some big names. He said,
“The facts is there but, right now, I don’t care if it’s T.I., I don’t care if it’s Rick Ross, I don’t care if it’s [Jay-Z], I don’t care if it’s Snoop [Dogg], I don’t care if it’s [The] Game, I don’t care if it’s Drake, nobody is stepping up."
Sean "Diddy" Combs has been charged with racketeering conspiracy, s*x trafficking by force, fraud, or coercion, and transportation to engage in pr*stitution charges. However, he has pleaded not guilty to all. According to TMZ, he is being detained at the Metropolitan Detention Center in NYC and was on su*cide watch.
