What is Squid Game all about?
The Squid Game series follows the plot of a covert, deadly game contest that lures people drowning in heavy financial crisis into partaking in a set of games (reminiscent of children's games). The winner is set to win a vast amount of prize money—except for the fact that if one loses the games, it will actually result in death.
Based on themes addressing capitalism and class inequality in the socio-political context of South Korea, it is a gripping and exciting set of series with strongly written characters packed with powerful performances and deep social commentary.
The third and final installment of the Squid Game series is anticipated to be released in 2025.
