Comedian Leslie Jones gave AEW audiences a parallel show from the crowd when she could not stop passionately reacting to the ongoing fight between Swerve Strickland and Ricochet. On Revolution 2025, the first annual edition of All Elite Wrestling (AEW) to be live streamed on Prime Video on March 9, 2025, Jones could be seen enthusiastically screaming and cheering from the crowd.

Jones, who is famous for her appearance on NBC’s Saturday Night Live, was seriously invested in the fight, and her intense involvement in the match spurned innumerable reactions from netizens. Some concerned netizens took to X to express the bizarreness of Jones’ performance at the ring side. On the other hand, many fans appreciated the intensity of Jones’ emotional attachment to the match.

Some observers expressed concern about those sitting around Jones for the duration of the match. Jones’ ringside performance garnered appreciation as well as criticism, but in any case, fans could not get enough of the comedian’s fervent participation in the match held at Los Angeles’ Crypto.com Arena.

A concerned netizen took to X to react to Leslie Jones’ intense flurry of reactions during the Swerve Strickland vs Ricochet match, and wrote:

“Somebody come get Leslie Jones she’s been screaming and punching this whole match #AEWRevolution”

Another wrestling fan observed:

“Hate to be the one that paid 500 to be sitting behind her ….”

An X user shared a hilarious interpretation of Jones’ reactions, writing:

“Leslie Jones was wiping that sweat off like she just finished giving a mean sermon at church #AEWRevolution”

One fan who was present at the arena wrote:

“Dude, I was on the other side of the arena and up the stairs and could still hear her screaming. That woman was THIRSTY!”

A Leslie Jones fan added their own two cents in support of the comedian, writing:

“She is PERFECT for wrestling I hope she’s enjoying herself!”

Another fan made a succinct observation about the entire event, commenting:

“Can't blame her. The match was tense”

A former-AEW fan shared a reasoned response on Jones’ appearance at the match, writing:

“I’m not a aew fan anymore but celebrities coming to wrestling shows whether that be wwe or aew is cool as hell. It gets more eyes on the product and I love it. I really love how focused she is on the match”

The comedian appeared on Saturday Night Live from the years 2014 to 2019, according to the New York Post. Jones has frequently spoken about her time as one of the artists on SNL, for which she has recieved three Primetime Emmy award nominations.

In a February 19 episode of the podcast Toure Show, Jones shared her experience working with a difficult director on the sketch comedy show. Leaving the director unnamed, she talked about being asked to stay for a long night on set despite being overworked, and even injuring herself. Describing the incident, Jones said:

“It's two o'clock in the f—king morning, no, it's almost two o'clock, it's like 12. And it's on a Friday night, so we got to come to work the next day and you still shooting this f—king pre-tape… So they got this big wedding dress, I’m in this big wedding dress. I done already cut my f—king, I still got this cut on my arm. I cut my arm with the wire that was in there, so my hand’s bleeding and sh-t.”

Leslie Jones has also appeared on 2016’s revival of Ghostbusters. She had a brief stint hosting The Daily Show in 2023, and has also appeared in American Dad! in 2024.
