“Somebody call his people in Chicago” — Bill Bellamy says Kanye West needs “cousin or auntie” to help him amid outbursts

Comedian and actor Bill Bellamy has weighed in on Kanye West's erratic behavior with a post on Instagram. In a funny but serious monologue, Bellamy asked why no member of Kanye’s inner circle, such as a cousin or an aunt, has intervened and questioned the rapper's behaviour. He said:

"You mean to tell me Kanye ain't got one auntie or cousin. Cousins and aunties don't cost no money. They just there to help you stay on track."

He painted a picture of a scenario in which a worried family member is waiting at the bottom of the stairs to challenge and question Kanye West on his outlandish outfits and actions.

Bellamy stated that whoever this person is for Kanye had to suggest he strip out of a Spider-Man outfit, or ask him why he was wearing an outfit

“that looked like a black Klansman.”

Bellamy didn’t limit his attack to Kanye’s individual antics, but also took shots at Kanye’s current wife, Bianca Censori. He stated that someone should also advice and question Bianca, adding:

"Bianca, your a** out. You sure? Put some pants on… Come on now, Bianca. Every time you go outside, you look like a mannequin"

Bill Bellamy shared the post on April 3, 2025, with a caption that pointed out to Kanye West’s background, and connection to his family and friends in Chicago. He wrote:

"RIGHT NOW!!! I don’t WTH going on but somebody call his people in #Chicago and send them to LA TONIGHT!!!!!"

Kanye West’s connection to Chicago explored amidst ongoing controversies

Born in Atlanta, Kanye moved to Chicago with his mother, Donda West, who later became a professor at Chicago State University. According to Yahoo News, the city helped nourish his interests in music, education, and creativity.

Kanye attended the American Academy of Art and Chicago State for only a short tenure before dropping out to focus on music. He eventually earned an honorary doctorate from School of the Art Institute of Chicago. In the late '90s, he formed the local rap group, The Go-Getters, and worked with other Chicagoans, including producer No I.D.

Kanye and his late mother also set up the Kanye West Foundation, with a mission to decrease dropout rates in Chicago. Kanye has frequently voiced his concern for Chicago's gun violence problem.

Kanye West has been all over the news in recent months for a number of polarizing instances, from wearing a black KKK-style hood in an interview to dropping songs that reference Adolf Hitler.

Most disturbingly, according to Mashable, he has made outlandish allegations that his ex-wife Kim Kardashian and her family are s*x traffickers, and that they were trying to have him involuntarily committed.
