Darren Jason Watkins Jr., aka IShowSpeed, is busy with the IRL streaming of his ongoing South American trip, but his recent TikTok clip is turning into a trend.

Speed recently posted a video of him performing Ratomilton's (@ratomilton) viral dance. Soon, his moves caught on with others on TikTok, who kept the trend going. The compilations of the rat dance featuring Speed and other TikTok creators soon made it to other platforms, including X.

DramaAlert (@DramaAlert) also posted a clip featuring IShowSpeed's dance and said,

“IShowSpeeds dance becomes a TikTok trend🤯”

Netizens reacted quickly, as they provided their two cents on the TikTok trend and Speed’s moves. A user even compared the current trend with the legendary Michael Jackson, as he wrote,

“Some of y'all have never seen Michael Jackson dance”

Another user corrected the original poster, as they pointed out,

“*IShowSpeed does the Milton rat dance which further starts a tiktok trend*”

Netizens credit the original creator for the viral IShowSpeed rat dance

Although Speed’s popularity played a factor, the YouTuber is not the original creator. Watkins joined in on the trend based on Rato Milton’s dance video, where a 3D animated rat showcases moves on the “Chess Type Beat” by Joyful. Many users on X credited Ratomilton for the trend as they pointed out the mistake in the original post.

“This dance belongs to @ItsRatoMilton not speed,” a user said.
“At least tag the original creator @ItsRatoMilton,” another user added.
“That’s not ishowspeeds dance. That’s RATA MILTON! @ItsRatoMilton,” someone said.
“Yall need to give @ItsRatoMilton his flowers this does not belong to speed,” another one declared.

A section of users highlighted how Speed’s dance will soon make its way to the Fortnite Item Shop. A user said,

“It will be added to Fortnite by next week.”

Another user claimed,

“This will be an emote in Fortnite in 3 months.”

Someone shared,

“800 vbuck emotes i can see it already 😔.”

Another one compared the TikTok dance with the Criss Cross emote from Fortnite,

“Isn’t that already a Fortnite emote?”

Speed’s viral dance has over 149 million views on TikTok, while many others are still taking up the challenge. Meanwhile, the famous YouTuber consistently streams his trip through countries like Colombia, Chile, Uruguay, Guatemala, Ecuador, Brazil, and more. He recently celebrated his 20th birthday in Argentina while also meeting his fans.

It is not the first time Speed has garnered attention for his dance moves. Last year, the streamer visited New Zealand, where he performed the traditional Maori Haka with the locals.
