Rapper Lil Baby, aka Dominique Armani Jones, has recently received a financial boost from selling his WHAM merchandise. For context, WHAM, the acronym for “Who Hard As Me,” is the rapper’s fourth studio album released on January 3, 2025.

However, the album went beyond introducing some unique tracks. The rapper also launched merchandise bearing the album’s name. According to Hotnewhiphop, he introduced WHAM's THCa strain in January 2025. In just 15 days, he earned $30.4 million from selling the merchandise. The strain was launched by the rapper's official brand, The Holding Company.

This seems to have surprised netizens as their reactions were noteworthy. One Instagram user questioned:

Lil Baby’s WHAM topped Billboard in 2025

WHAM turned out to be a major hit for Lil Baby at the beginning of 2025 as the album earned the top position on Billboard 200. Reportedly, this makes the album the first to top the chart in 2025. On January 13, 2025, the rapper took to his Instagram and wrote:

“See yall Again in a couple weeks “Dominique “ The Album 2-?-25”

The album features 19 tracks with appearances by artists like 21 Savage, Future, and Travis Scott. According to Vibe, WHAM debuted with nearly 120 million official streams and 50,000 album sales, reaching No. 3 on the Top Streaming Albums chart.

A deluxe edition of the album was released following the success. In a recent interview with Complex, the rapper reflected on how his music creation process changed saying:

“My music process has changed a billion percent, because when I was making those [older] songs, I might've just left the hood with 20 or 30 guys. All of us go to the studio, and I got them over here talking about this and that. It's a whole different energy inside the studio. It was actually helpful. It gives you a little more energy. That's what I'm used to. That's the environment that I know.”

WHAM's hit track, Dum, Dumb and Dumber featuring Young Thug and Future, topped Apple Music’s U.S. and Global charts. According to a Billboard official, despite being shorter than Lil Baby's previous album, WHAM achieved a strong start in 2025.
