Disney releases BTS clip of Snow White
Disney has released a nearly two-minute-long behind-the-scenes video of their upcoming musical fantasy film, Snow White. The video begins with the title card of the original animated film, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, which was adapted from the namesake fairytale of 1812. We then see the film's director Marc Webb talking about how the original film created the mold.
Rachel Zegler, who plays the title character, talks about the animated film and how it has inspired the live-action one. She says:
"There's so much from this animated movie that we have taken from and used in our own... a lot of it was the design of the costumes and the designs of the set pieces."
The video then showcases behind-the-scenes glimpses from the shoot. We see Gal Gadot, playing Evil Queen, as she talks about her nervousness on the first day of the shoot. She also spoke about how the look of her character came about. Gadot said:
"We started working on the different looks for the Evil Queen and the amount of research that Sandy Powell, our costume designer, showed, it was like magic."
We get a glimpse of the Evil Queen's crown that Gal Gadot wears in the film. Director Marc Webb then talks about how powerful a place in history the original film still holds, stating:
Its place in history is very specific and incredibly powerful. We wanted to honor it.
At the end of the clip ends, Zegler sums up what the film aims to give to the audience by saying:
"Yeah, Disney magic."
Snow White has been under development since 2016, when the project was first announced by Disney. The film's shooting took place in 2022, between March and July. - Andrew Burnap as Jonathan
- Ansu Kabia as the Huntsman
- Dujonna Gift as Maple
- Martin Klebba as Grumpy
- Andrew Barth Feldman as Dopey
The film is scheduled to be released on March 21, 2025, by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures.
