The sketch comedy late-night TV show, Saturday Night Live, which started on 11 October 1975 on the NBC network, is celebrating its 50th season. The SNL's 50th anniversary Homecoming Concert was nothing but a star-studded event where some of the biggest musicians and bands of all time played and rocked the stage.

The SNL50 Homecoming Concert was held at the Radio City Music Hall in New York City. It was hosted by Jimmy Fallon. The concert was live-streamed on the OTT platform Peacock. You can still watch it if you've missed the livestream. The concert continued for almost three and a half hours and showcased a wealth of talent.

There was a huge sea of fans right outside Radio City Hall who cheered and screamed at every car that stopped and delivered another big celebrity. The theater, which can hold up to 6000 people, housed huge stars, some of whom were also former SNL legends, like Adam Sandler, Paul Rudd, Jon Hamm, Tom Hanks, Meryl Streep, Tina Fey, Amy Poehler, Martin Short, Jerry Seinfeld, Ray Romano, and many others.

Besides all the musical performances, there were a few acts that recalled some of SNL's epic moments. For example, Bill Murray showed up as Nick Valentine along with Paul Schaffer, whereas Maya Rudolph and Cecily Strong were lauded for their bang-on impersonations of Prince and Beyonce. Not to mention, Andy Samberg's and Lady Gaga's acts were as good as the rest of them. It would be a crime if we didn't talk about Will Ferrell and Ana Gasteyer's act, as the stuffy music teacher was hilarious and out of this world.
