According to court documents obtained by TMZ Hip Hop, singer Teyana Taylor has accused her ex-husband Iman Shumpert of leaking their divorce settlement terms to the media. As per Taylor, their split was a "court ruling" and not a settlement, where she was awarded four properties, and Shumpert was awarded only three, including a Miami condo, which the basketball player allegedly gifted her.

Shumpert claims that she paid for her awarded tour bus, and the Maybach, which she bought after her ex-husband "crash, totaled, and abandoned her Rolls Royce without replacing it."

Last week, news surfaced about Teyana Taylor and Iman Shumpert's settlement, revealing the assets Teyana was awarded as part of the settlement. Teyana in the recent court document allegedly claimed that her ex-husband Iman, leaked what she calls a "false divorce settlement" to the media. At the same time, Iman also released a new rap song, GET IT, GOT IT, GOOD!, and believes that the timing is not a coincidence, allegedly implying that Iman used the settlement news to boost attention towards his song.

While Iman was speculated to gain benefit from their divorce drama, Teyana's Oscar night post featuring another actor went viral, racking up 1.4 million views and over 40,000 comments. The actress revealed that she received hate speech and public scrutiny on her post, with users bashing her for her divorce settlement.

As a result, the actress has requested the court to hold Iman Shumpert in contempt, sentence him to 20 days in jail, and impose the maximum fines allowed.

Why did Teyana Taylor and Iman Shumpert get divorced?

Teyana Taylor filed for divorce from the former basketball player, Iman Shumpert in January 2023, citing "cruel treatment" after six years of marriage.

Before the two reached a settlement, Taylor accused Shumpert of withdrawing nearly $4M from their shared account, forcing her to cover their $200k bill for home renovations.

Teyana had also questioned his role as a father to their two kids and alleged that Shumpert failed to feed their daughter and sent her to Chicago's United Center Arena using a ride-sharing app. Shumpert had been rumored to be cheating and was arrested for DUI and marijuana possession.

According to reports, Shumpert has been paying Teyana $8,000 per month in child support, which is to be used for the couple's two daughters' private school tuition fees. In June 2024, Shumpert requested the judge overseeing their divorce to reduce his monthly child support since Teyana makes double his income. The two share custody of their children.
