Former Gossip Girl extra Rosella Rago has recently talked about what it was like on set as a stand-in for Blake Lively. This comes at a time when Blake is already caught up in controversy after the release of her latest film. Rago’s TikTok post accuses Lively of creating a toxic and unprofessional working environment. Having spent the show’s entire span as Blake’s stand-in, Rago used her platform to share alleged details about the A-list actor’s behavior.

Rosella claimed,

“She would burp and fart in the middle of set – and act like we were lucky to be smelling her farts. She was very unpleasant to work with. I just don’t know how else to say it.”

Blake under fire

Rago furthered her claims by insinuating that the limelight had influenced Lively’s behavior, going as far as calling her a ‘nepo baby’ who struggled heavily with the attention she garnered at a decidedly young age.

She continued,

“I was a stand-in on movies and TV shows for 15 years and I worked on the show [Gossip Girl] on and off for all six seasons. I'm going to attest that Blake Lively is horrendous. I'm sorry to burst your bubble. She was a nepo baby and when she was 19 and the whole world was blowing smoke up her a**. It is really hard to keep your head when that happens.”

Rago intimates that this undue privilege fostered the sense of entitlement the star carried with her to set. She said,

“I’m thinking she believes she has the right to behave exactly as she wants. And how dare we make a fuss?"

She went on to describe situations in which Lively’s alleged behavior reportedly caused tension amongst other cast and crew members throughout the show’s run.

Fans might be aware that this is not the first alleged news of some unrest on the Gossip Girl sets because of Lively’s antics. Her co-star Leighton Meester, who famously played the role of Blair Waldorf on the show’s 6-year run, had a famously icy relationship with Lively as has been rumored behind the scenes.

While neither star has made a direct statement regarding the supposed tensions, there have been murmurings on the topic since the show wrapped its run. The two also rarely appeared together for promotional work with their few shared appearances coming across as awkward and cold.

Lively’s On-going Legal Woes

To make matters worse, Lively is currently in a legal battle with It Ends With Us co-star Justin Baldoni after she accused him of sexual harassment throughout the film’s production.

In a lawsuit filed in late December, Lively claimed that the director created a hostile work environment by invading her privacy by entering her makeup trailer uninvited while she was undressed and breastfeeding her youngest son. Upon requesting certain protections from Baldoni during filming, Lively alleged a smear campaign was launched against her as a means of direct retaliation.

Rosella even went as far as to weigh in on Lively’s current legal woes,

“She’s used to being adored, and when she’s not, s**t gets real. Baldoni has found out how real it gets.”

While fan reactions are split on what appears to be mostly anecdotal accounts of history, Lively and her team have yet to respond to the newest claims. The good news for Blake is that her die-hard fans still have her back.
