Beyonce’s concert movie Renaissance: A Film By Beyoncé was released in December 2023 and gained an IMDB rating of 8.6 out of 10. However, despite attracting $27.4 million in the first weekend of its release, it did not make it to a Grammy consideration.

Per Forbes, the Renaissance Tour concluded in October 2023 after 56 shows across 12 countries, grossing $579 million globally and securing its place as one of the highest-earning tours in history. After the news of the movie not making it to the Grammys, netizens couldn’t hold their reactions. One X user wrote:

“she KNOWS she'll lose to Taylor.”

Social media users appeared optimistic as they shared thoughts of sending Beyonce’s movie to the Oscars.

Netizens suggested that even if the movie made it to the Grammys nomination, it wouldn’t have still got the award.

“well of course that’s what you get for not releasing it on streaming” a social media user wrote.

Beyonce’s Cowboy Starter is a leading contender for Grammys 2025

According to Variety, it appeared the 2025 Grammy Award for Album of the Year contest would be a three-way race between Beyonce, Billie Eilish, and Taylor Swift. However, Chappell Roan's 2023 release, The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess, surged into the spotlight as a strong contender, making it a likely four-way race.

With Grammy voters receiving their first ballots, the media outlet predicted the nominees for the top four all-genre categories. While only eight artists or tracks would be nominated in each category, Variety had identified 16 potential contenders, highlighting their picks for the eight most likely to make the final cut when the Recording Academy announces the nominees on November 8, 2024.

Although not guaranteed, Variety analyzed that Beyonce's Cowboy Carter, Sabrina Carpenter's Short N’ Sweet, and Charli XCX's Brat are all in the mix, alongside Billie Eilish's Hit Me Hard and Soft and Ariana Grande's Eternal Sunshine.

Post Malone's F-1 Trillion might also vie for the top spot, as is Chappell Roan's The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess, which has gained significant momentum. Taylor Swift's The Tortured Poets Department rounds out the list.

Despite being nominated for her last four solo albums, Beyonce has yet to win Album of the Year, a fact that remained one of the most talked-about frustrations. With Cowboy Carter, a fifth nomination is almost speculated.
