“She was there to greet him” - Jackie Siegel speaks out following Husband and sister’s deaths within three days

As per an article by the New York Post, the Queen of Versailles star Jackie Siegel recently spoke about losing her husband and her sister in three days.

Siegel's husband, David Siegel, who was the founder and executive chairman of Westgate Resorts, died on April 5 at the age of 89 after fighting cancer. Her sister Jessica Mallery died after the next three days at the age of 43 due to a drug overdose:

"It comforts me to know that she was there to greet him,” Siegel told US Weekly.

Siegel broke the news via a statement released by Victoria's Voice Foundation, a non-profit organization founded by the actress in honor of her husbands's late daughter, Victoria, who died at the age of 18 due to a drug overdose in 2015:

"As I mourn the profound loss of my beloved husband David Siegel, who passed away on April 5 at the age of 89, my world was shattered again yesterday by the unexpected loss of my beautiful sister, Jessica Mallery, 43," Siegel wrote in the statement.

The statement further elaborated that Jessica died because of taking cocaine laced with fentanyl. It stated that the death of Jessica is a reminder of the evil of drug abuse prevailing around the country, and the work of Victoria's Voice Foundation has become even more critical than ever.

As per US Weekly, Siegel's foundation has expressed that most of Jessica's organs will be donated, along with the fact that till now, seven organs of the deceased have been donated to patients, which helped save their lives:

"We felt comfort in donating her organs,” Jackie told US Weekly.

She added:

"Within two days they donated seven of the critical organs that saved lives. That’s why I’m saying my life is expanding — it’s not just lives from education of fentanyl, but also to have people be aware about how important donating organs is. She’s going to give someone eyesight with her eyes. We donated her skin for burn patients and skin cancer victims."

Siegel further stated that Jessica was a loving person, trusted by everyone. The statement ended with the actress mentioning that the family is still fighting grief and that the family appreciates all best wishes and support at this difficult time.

"Until this form of grief is a distant memory in this country. Our family appreciates everyone’s love, support and prayers, and we ask for privacy during this extremely difficult time," she noted.

Jackie Siegel's husband, David Siegel, was a billionaire who resided in one of the most expensive homes in the US. He was born on May 3, 1935, in Chicago, Illinois, and founded Westgate Resorts Ltd.

David was the father of ten biological children and two adopted children. Before marrying Jackie, he was married to Bettie Irene Tucker and Geraldine Florence Sanstorm. As per the Las Vegas Journal-Review, Siegel had been battling cancer for quite some time.

Jackie broke the news of her husband's demise via an Instagram post.

"I wanted to personally reach out and let you know that my husband, David Alan Siegel, passed away this morning. I was lucky enough to share twenty-five wonderful years with David, and together we raised eight incredible children. His life and legacy live on through them all," Jackie wrote on Instagram.

The actress further gave a tribute to her deceased son as well as to Victoria.
