On November 15, Lana Del Rey took to the comment section of an Instagram post that highlighted an alleged fake feud between her and singer Lizzo.
Lana commented saying,
"I don't think I have an official TikTok, other than the grants one sooooo"
and added two more comments saying, 'Or a Twitter." and "Very Random." The post featured a screenshot of a TikTok comment battle between the two singers, claiming that Lizzo allegedly insulted Lana's music sales by saying, "I'd like to see you back on the charts," to which Lana's response showed, "I would love to see you run on a treadmill."
The post was made by "Drop Pop," which claimed itself to be a "parody account" and mentioned, "Everything posted on the account is satirical and for humorous purposes" in its bio.
After Pop Base posted Lana's response on X, users took to the comment section to express their opinions on the photoshopped interaction.
"the way she never said she disagrees with the post 😭😭" - a user noted
"notice how she said she doesnt have an “official” twitter acc instead of “any” twitter acc. mother is lingering here n there on twitter oh i just know it" - another user noted
"Why did she make 3 separate replies 😭" - a user questioned
"Seems like some folks are too busy fabricating drama instead of living their own lives. Talk about a creative waste of time!" - a user commented
More on the viral fake post about Lana Del Rey and Lizzo
Drop Pop's latest social media post featured a photoshopped comment section of an alleged feud between singers Lana Del Rey and Lizzo. The post quickly gained attention among the singers' fans and amassed over 7.7 million views within 25 hours.
This isn't the first time the parody account has posted photoshopped interactions between the singers. In a follow-up post, Lizzo allegedly wrote, "I hope that alligator eats your big a**," to which Lana Del Rey supposedly responded, "You'd know about eating biggie." Earlier in July, the parody posted another screenshot claiming that Lana commented, "What planet are you on?" under one of Lizzo's pictures.
Although Drop Pop claims to be a parody account and notes that their posts are only for satirical and humorous purposes, the recent fake interaction drew considerable attention since it misled fans into believing a feud existed between the notable singers.
