“She is the best hater on the planet” — Grimes responds to Azealia Banks’ tweet referencing their past feud

Grimes reignited her feud with Azealia Banks after both of them went back and forth on X (formerly known as Twitter). In response to one of Banks' tweets, she tweeted:

“She is the best hater on the planet,” adding fuel to the dire.

Grimes reignited her feud with Banks when she retweeted a post uploaded by a user and poked fun at Banks. Both artists had a collaboration planned which went sour when the latter visited the former's house to work on it. Their clash which also involved Musk, who was dating Grimes at the time included accusations, a full-blown clash on Twitter, and it also involved messages between the two. Banks made multiple claims about Elon which he denied. It then rocketed to accusations which also involved lawyers which was heavily publicised back in 2018.

How did the feud restart?

It all started when a user uploaded an edited photo of Grimes as Glinda, the Good Witch, and Banks as Elphaba, the Wicked Witch of the West, characters from The Wizard Of Oz. This edited photo quickly went viral and caught the attention of everyone. Grimes engaged and commented reigniting the old feud. One of her tweets included Banks being the best hater on the planet.

This is the comment from Grimes that started it all:

Hate to say it but wouldve been kinda lit.

In response, an enraged Azealia Banks fired back with a tweet about Grimes' personal life and career.

Banks used this opportunity to poke at Grimes' personal life, her career and her relationship with Elon Musk. She claimed that Grimes was clinging on to a "weird innocent narrative". On this rant she also called out Grimes for being "dumped, cheated and overshadowed''. She ended the rant by telling her to ''let it go" and stop mentioning her.

In response to this, Grimes tweeted:

To all of the rants, Grimes replied that she wasn't trying to paint Banks as a villain. Grimes also used this opportunity to address and clarify details about her split from Elon Musk, stating:

I didn’t "get dumped." I bounced. My amazing baby is asleep in my bed beside me, I’m in love. No regrets.

Grimes and Musk who were in a relationship for almost 4 years had a messy custody battle over their children. Grimes shares 3 children with Musk, X Æ A-Xii, aged 4, Exa Dark Sideræl, aged 3, and Techno Mechanicus, aged 2.

Despite all the bad blood between them, Grimes called Banks "insanely talented" and wished her success in her future endeavors.
