Sexyy Red has revealed she turned down a permanent WWE role due to her manic schedule.

Speaking with Dazed Digital, the rapper reflected on her interaction with WWE icon Shawn Michaels, noting that she was offered a lucrative deal but had to turn it down because of her career in music.

The rapper has a net worth of $1 million, Celebrity Net Worth reports, and she is most known for her Grammy-nominated song, A Thousand Miles, as well Ah Thousand Jugs. She is also known for her collaborations with Drake and DaBaby.

Speaking on Dazed Digital, the singer revealed:

“I actually got offered a permanent role as a wrestler in WWE, but couldn’t find the time to train properly so settled for a cameo instead."

She went on to reflect upon the parallels between rap and wrestling, saying:

“Rapping and wrestling are pretty much the same. It’s not quite acting, but it’s kind of acting too, right? Because when we go home and take off all our jewels and gold and remove the costumes we wear, we then have to go right back to reality with our families.”

Sexyy Red also made headlines when she collaborated with Bruno Mars for his latest track, Fat Juicy & Wet. Mars teased the number on Instagram days before it dropped, revealing on Instagram that he was,

“headed to the studio right now to make a str*p club anthem.”

He added at the time:

“Someone please help me get in touch with Sexyy Red!!”

The singer replied immediately when she commented: “Heyyyyyy Bruno! @BrunoMars.” She also took to X to double down on her interest in a collaboration with him. She penned:

“I heard Bruno say he lookin for ah real bthc baby I’m right hur @BrunoMars."

As reported by Hip Hop Dx, presented and rapper Joe Budden slammed the track since it released.

“Will it work? Yes. They’re gonna pay for this to work,” he began, referring to Bruno and Sexyy’s respective labels. “The video says that, the feature says that, the [Lady Gaga] cameo [in the video] says that, [gamma. boss] Larry Jackson and all of his relationships say that. This song is going to work. Now, where it will work is a whole different thing. I don’t know if Gary, Indiana is playing this in the strip clubs out there. I also don’t think it was made for that.”

At the time of writing, not much else is known about Sexyy Red's alleged deal with WWE.
