20th Century Studios, after their Disney acquisition, made their attempt to revive the Predators franchise with their 2022 movie Prey. Prey served as a prequel to the Predators Universe. While a sequel to the movie was expected too, director Dan Trachtenberg expressed his desire not to jump into Prey 2 immediately.
As announced in February, the studio has decided to time-jump from the 18th century to the future with Elle Fanning's starter Predator: Badlands. The movie's release date is reported to be November 7, 2025.

While Badlands was considered to be the first project to be released in the Predators universe after Prey, the studios might have another secret project up their sleeves. It is reported that this secret project will premiere in 2025 before Badlands.
Steve Asbell, Fox's longtime executive who became president of the division in 2020, spilled beans about this secret project in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter. Here is everything to know about it and when it will likely be released.

While details were released for Badlands in February, Asbell remained quiet about this secret Predators project from the same Universe. He also confirmed that the shooting for Badlands had just wrapped up in New Zealand.

While Asbell was careful not to reveal too much, according to reports, the secret project "will not be a live-action project hitting theatres next year." An animated movie for 20th Century Studios doesn't make much sense, considering its main players, Pixar and Disney (the studio's parent company).
Considering Dan's glorious history with Warfare cinema as a filmmaker, a CG action movie like the studio's work with Planet of the Apes might also be on the cards for this project. But nothing is certain as of now.
There are also reports of this being a streaming project. While we wait for official studio news on the project, there is no doubt that 2025 is going to be a crucial year for the movie franchise, with two big projects coming out.
Asbell also talked about other projects for the studio-

He also confirmed a direct sequel to Alien: Romulus with the characters Rain (Cailee Spaeny) and Andy (David Jonsson). Director Fede Álverez's involvement in the sequel is not yet confirmed, but Asbell assured that the deals are close and the project is progressing fast.
