Your favorite horror comedy franchise is back with a bang as Scary Movie is set to return to the big screens for a reboot, as reports have confirmed.

Marlon Wayans, who starred in the previous films, confirmed the date on his Instagram, teasing another film in the franchise slated to release next year. Although not much has been revealed about the project, the confirmation date has still garnered buzz among fans.

Shawn Wayans and Keenen Ivory Wayans will sit in the writer's chair for this reboot. Keenan previously directed both the original Scary Movie film and its sequel in 2001. Meanwhile, both the Wayans wrote and starred in the initial two films.
