Keanu Reeves is all set to make his return to the big screen with Ruben Östlund's highly anticipated film The Entertainment System Is Down, and new details surrounding the film have made fans all the more excited.
Described as a satirical comedy, the film has just started shooting in Budapest and will most likely wrap up this year. The plot of the film, as the title suggests, revolves around passengers on a flight who have their entertainment system down and the plague of boredom becomes a serious issue for everyone abroad. Featuring elements of dark comedy and most likely social commentary, the film will be shot inside a Boeing 747 that the studio has acquired specifically for the project.
The film will be led by Kirsten Dunst, Daniel Brühl, Keanu Reeves, Nicholas Braun, Samantha Morton, and Tobias Menzies. Further cast revelations have revealed Connor Swindells, Daniel Webber, Wayne Blair, Dan Wyllie, Lindsay Duncan, Allan Corduner, Sofia Tjelta Sydness, Erin Ainsworth, Myles Kamwendo, Sanna Sundqvist, Elle Piper and Tea Stjärne to be a part of the project as well.

Financed by the Swedish Film Institute, Medienboard Berlin-Brandenburg, Filmförderungsanstalt (FFA), the Norwegian Film Institute, and the Danish Film Institute, it is rumored to be a big-budget project. Although not a lot of details have been revealed about the film, keeping in mind Östlund's brilliance and Keanu's stellar performances on screen, it's going to be a masterpiece.
The shooting of the film will happen over a period of seventy days.
The Entertainment System Is Down will mark Östlund’s second English-language film after Triangle, which managed to bag three Oscar nominations that year. Knowing his legacy, fans are excited to see what the director will bring to life this time.
As for Keanu Reeves, the actor is all set to star in From the World of John Wick: Ballerina alongside Ana De Armas. The fifth chapter in the franchise is a highly anticipated one and has gotten fans excited for its release.
