Robert Pattinson is set to return as the caped crusader soon in The Batman 2 and the actor confirms that he knows what the film is about.

Pattinson put the bat suit on screen for the first time in The Batman. With Matt Reeves' 2022 film, he followed in the footsteps of Christian Bale, Ben Affleck, Michael Keaton, and George Clooney. He was joined by Zoë Kravitz, who played Catwoman, and Paul Dano, who played his nemesis, the Riddler. The film will still take a while to come out but the fans must be eager to know any bit of information they can about this project. In line with this, Pattinson has a short conversation with ExtraTV about the Batman sequel.

“Matt is a very careful writer but I finally now know what it's about. It's very cool and I'm very excited”

The actor said during his brief dialogue with a reporter about The Batman 2. You can watch the video here.

The Batman 2: What to expect from the upcoming Batman sequel starring Robert Pattinson?

Filmmaker Matt Reeves brought The Batman back to the screen in a new avatar through his 2022 film. It introduced Robert Pattinson as the new dark knight after Ben Affleck donned the batsuit for the DC studio projects. Pattinson's film received major critical acclaim, as it currently stands at an 85% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. It was also nominated for 3 Oscars although not for Greg Fraser's compelling cinematography.

The Batman followed the superhero investigating his wealthy family's involvement in the city-wide corruption as a sadistic killer wreaks havoc in Gotham. It showed Batman fighting against the elusive Riddler while Colin Farrell's Oz Cobb / Penguin kept lurking in the shadows. They posed a threat to his pursuit of justice. Now, The Batman 2 is upon us, but we have very few confirmed details about its cast and characters.

The sequel will feature Pattinson reprising his role alongside Farrell, who has been winning over the audience and the critics with his performance as the Penguin. Oscar-nominated Barry Keoghan, who made a brief appearance as the Joker at the end of The Batman, will also appear in the sequel. There are also rumors about the Court of Owls Clayface, and Two-Face appearing in the new Batman film. However, no details have been officially confirmed just yet.

Robert Pattinson will be seen next on screens in Mickey 17, the sci-fi black comedy film that just premiered at the Berlinale.
