DJ Akademiks, infamous for his reporting on online drama and pop culture, was banned from Twitch for the fourth time on October 15 for reasons undisclosed. He had a notable presence on the platform, and the ban comes on the heels of a collaboration with Adin Ross during a live stream the same day.

Twitch is yet to release a statement on the same, while DJ Akademiks has also chosen to remain mum at the time of writing. During the live stream, the two brought on Gucci Third Leg, an Onlyfans model who came under fire on social media for spreading STDs. The two were dissecting what happened with the creator, probing him to learn more.

The internet chimed in, with many ridiculing the circumstances behind DJ Akademiks's ban. As one user penned,

"risked it all to talk to THIRD LEG."
"Twitch acting like no one ever ever streamed with Adin in a call," one user defended.
"Didn’t Twitch recently bring back Sneako? What’s their issue with Adin Ross?!" another questioned.
"Twitch has an obsession with Adin Ross at this point they’re scared of kick and him and his influence," another speculated.
"Oh, what a surprise! Akademiks playing with fire and getting burned. Who could've seen that coming?" someone tweeted.

Others online shared their takes on the situation:

"Twitch be hating on adin," another pointed out.
"They shouldn’t give him his account back. Well deserved," someone opined.
"Twitch streamers need to start standing up or find another platform," one user advised.

Others simply reacted with mockery and a flurry of memes surrounding DJ Akademiks' ban.

DJ Akademiks banned from Twitch for streaming with Adin Ross, also a banned user

According to Hot New Hip Hip, DJ Akademiks, aka Livingston, was banned because he streamed with Ross, who is banned from the platform himself. As per the platform's guidelines, streaming or fraternizing with a banned user on the platform is prohibited. However, his YouTube and Rumble channels still remain up and running.

Per the community guidelines listed on the website,

"Circumventing our enforcement actions undermines the integrity of our service. For suspended users, any attempt to circumvent an account suspension or chat ban by using other accounts or identities will also result in an additional enforcement against your accounts, up to an indefinite suspension."

The conditions continue,

"For non-suspended Twitch streamers, you may react to a VOD or a livestream from another service of a suspended user, but you may not feature them on your stream as a guest (for example, streaming in the same room or using collaboration software to feature a suspended user as a guest, even in an ensemble)."

Furthermore, the website also states that:

"Streamers allowed on Twitch may not have a one-on-one interview with a suspended user or participate in a stream with a suspended user in a group setting where the suspended user actively participates in your stream, or attend and stream on Twitch an event hosted by or to celebrate a suspended user."

Adin was banned from the same back in 2023 for violating the community guidelines. He expressed heated conduct during one of his streams and included chats from his Kick stream that contained offensive language.
