The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum, Teddi Mellencamp, was first diagnosed with melanoma, which is a type of skin cancer, in 2022. She recently confirmed that her cancer has now reached stage 4. The television personality, on April 3, 2025, took to Instagram and posted a video on her Instagram Stories in which she revealed that she had finally completed her radiation treatment.

In the Instagram Story, Teddi was seen holding onto some papers and reading out a plaque while standing underneath a golden bell in a hospital. Before ringing the bell a few times, she reads from the plaque. The words written on the plaque were

"The good luck bell. Ring this bell three times well, it’s told to clearly say my treatment’s done, the course is run, and I am on my way."

The caption of the video she shared on her Instagram Story read:

"Ringing the bell can signify a major phase of treatment — Today was my last day of radiation. 5 more rounds of immunotherapy to go. Love you all for the kind messages."

According to People, Mellencamp earlier shared that she thought she had gotten rid of the cancer, but unfortunately, the doctors informed her that they found four more tumors. The podcast host's cancer, as we mentioned before, has reached stage 4 and has also metastasized to her lungs and brain.

Teddi also said:

"I woke up to so many kind messages. I just want to say thank you guys so much. So many messages about how strong I am. And I gotta tell you, some days I feel really really strong and some days I feel really really sad and alone. And I think that’s a normal part of what any of us are going through, and that’s okay. Stage 4 cancer can be scary."

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum was married twice. First to filmmaker Mathew Robertson, whom she divorced in 2010, and then to Edwin Arroyave, whom she divorced in November 2024. Teddi shares three children, two daughters, Slate and Dove, and a son, Cruz, with Edwin.

Teddi's former husband, Edwin, did not sugarcoat the news of their mother's cancer diagnosis to their children and kept it quite real. On the April 3 episode of the Eds Podcast, Arroyave discussed how he and Teddi broke the news of her stage 4 cancer diagnosis to their children. He revealed they wanted to be completely honest with their kids about whatever was happening.

Edwin mentioned there would be times when they would feel scared and concerned about their mother. Despite that, they thought it would be best to be direct with them than have them get the news from the internet.
