Gwyneth Paltrow is all praise for Timothee Chalamet. The actors are set to collaborate on their latest project, Marty Supreme, a sports drama film starring Chalamet as the titular character. Although little is known about the film, Paltrow has revealed to fans that it includes many intimate scenes.

Previously, behind-the-scenes shots of Gwyneth and Chalamet having an intense makeout session on set went viral. The pair, who are collaborating for the first time, were seen kissing against a wall, forming some intense anticipation among fans on the premise of the project.

Gwyneth has commented on her experience with Chalamet as she praises the actor, describing him to Vanity Fair. She says,

“He’s just a very polite, properly raised, I was going to say kid. He’s a man who takes his work really seriously and is a fun partner.”

The actress also talked about her experience on set with an intimacy co-ordinator as she added,

“There’s now something called an intimacy coordinator, which I did not know existed. I was like, ‘Girl, I’m from the era where you get naked, you get in bed, the camera’s on.’ ”

The sports drama is loosely based on tennis champion Martin "Marty" Reisman. Although the film is not a direct biography, it will still draw inspiration from the player's life and explore his journey on and off the field.

Details about the film have mostly been kept under wraps for now, but Gwyneth Paltrow did let fans in on her character as she revealed that she plays a table tennis WAG, telling Vanity Fair,

“This woman who is married to someone who is in the Ping-Pong mafia, as it were. They meet and she’s had a pretty tough life, and I think he breathes life back into her, but it’s kind of transactional for them both."

The film is Chalamet's only known project for this year, apart from the documentary Hans Zimmer & Friends: Diamond in the Desert. It will also mark his third biographical venture, having played Nic Sheff in Beautiful Boy and Bob Dylan in A Complete Unknown.

As for Paltrow, Marty Supreme marks her return to Hollywood after she took a break from acting to focus on her personal life. Talking about her return, the actress says,

“There’s this weird, deep grief that comes with letting go, saying goodbye, and then calling into question your own purpose. Who am I now?”

Marty Supreme is set to release on 25 December 2025.
