British author Tom Holland is hoping the actor identifies as just "Tom" so that he can catch a break!
The author is recognized for his bestselling books on classical and medieval history and has collaborated with the BBC. He responded to a fan question about whether the couple will take each other's names after getting married. Redd Cinema quoted a fan's question:
"So is she gonna be "Zendaya Holland" or is going to become "Tom"
To which Tom Holland responded in the comment section:
"Please let it be 'Tom'"
Actor Holland Zendaya got engaged in January 2025, according to a family source's confirmation to People. The two grew closer after they were cast alongside each other in Spider-Man: Homecoming in July 2016. At the time, both Tom and Zendaya claimed that they were "good friends," only to confirm news of their relationship when they were spotted sharing a kiss inside a car in July 2021.
Both actors have stressed the importance of keeping their love life private.
When are Zendaya and Tom Holland getting married?
While Zendaya and Tom Holland exchanged rings in January 2025, the two are not planning to get married anytime soon. A source speaking to HeatWorld in an article published on April 22 mentioned that Tom wants to tie the knot as quickly as possible, while Zendaya wants to focus on her career.
"If Tom could elope with Zendaya, he would, but she's way too level-headed for that. She has a vision of how she wants her wedding to be, and that includes all her family being there and having a proper celebration. They both looked at their schedules and tried to figure out a way to fit in this year, but there's just no way, and there's even some question about whether they'll be able to manage it in 2026."
The insider claimed that Tom Holland is keen on making future plans and has also talked about wanting to start a family, but it's "very far off." While speaking to GQ in November 2021, Holland said that while he wants to keep his romantic life away from the public eye, he is aware that privacy is not in their "control" anymore.
Zendaya mentioned that having the outside world get a glimpse of her personal life feels both "confusing and invasive."
After confirming their relationship in 2021, the two have made multiple red carpet appearances together and have also shown public support for each other.
