Plankton: The Movie - Netflix drops first official trailer for the upcoming musical comedy adaptation
The first official trailer of Plankton: The Movie has just been dropped by Netflix, and it is an exciting one that anticipates a compelling plotline. It focuses on the story of Plankton, which shall be a different and a new angle to explore the SpongeBob Squarepants' world.
As far as we can see, it gives us glimpses of Plankton and Karen's conflicted relationship, with Karen being upset with Plankton as he does not seem to be that much available to her as he is fixated on a phone screen while asking for some coffee, due to which Karen calls him a 'jerk'. It further leads to grave consequences as Karen takes up control and is out to make destruction, therefore, Plankton joins hands with his frenemy SpongeBob to fix his relationship with Karen and stop her from causing further damage.
Plankton: The Movie also explores Plankton's relationship with SpongeBob as we see them together quite many times in the trailer, including in one of the most adorable scenes when SpongeBob takes the role of the "Jr. Psychiatrist" and tries to help Plankton get back together with Karen.
Going by the trailer, it seems like a light-hearted as well as a hilarious plot surrounding a couple's relationship, or it might be a take on modern relationships as well, which is already an interesting area to explore, that too in the genre of children and family entertainment.
The voice cast of Plankton: The Movie are returning back with their roles in SpongeBob Squarepants, which includes:

- Jill Talley as Karen
- Tom Kenny as SpongeBob Squarepants
- Bill Fagerbakke as Patrick Star
