Parasite is officially returning to the silver screen on the fifth anniversary of its glorious win at the 2020 Oscars.

Bong Joon-ho's sociological black comedy became a huge deal shortly after it debuted at the Cannes Film Festival. After its world premiere, it won the prestigious Palme d'Or, which led it to the Oscar glory. The film started smashing records at the American award shows, including a SAG (Screen Actors Guild) award win for its ensemble cast, which was the first of its kind for a non-English-language film.

So, on this special occasion, the film is re-releasing in IMAX on February 7, 2025. If you couldn't watch it back in 2019, here's your chance!

It's been over five years since Bong Joon-ho's Parasite was released, but people still fondly talk about it. Why wouldn't they? After all, the film grabbed many more eyeballs after it won four major awards at the 2020 Oscars, including the Best Picture win. Now, it is returning to the big screen to celebrate the fifth anniversary of this victory.

According to the latest reports, Neon is bringing the film back on wide screens as it is eyeing an IMAX re-release. It will be back in the cinemas from February 7, 2025 onwards.

The Best Picture Oscar win was a huge deal for a film not in the English language. However, that is not the only record that the film managed to make. It also earned Bong Joon-ho three significant Oscars - for directing, writing, and co-producing his film. With that victory, he became the seventh person in the history of the Oscars to receive these three awards, following the likes of Francis Ford Coppola, Joel and Ethan Coen, Peter Jackson, and Billy Wilder.
