However, the thrill was not just for her performance, but more so for a steamy moment, she shared with guest rapper Doechii, one that had her fiancé, Orlando Bloom, looking, or "trynna keep it chill," as one user commented on X.
The pop star delivered a performance spanning all her biggest hits, culminating in a nearly intimate moment with Doechii during their performance of their upcoming song, I'm His, He's Mine. During the set, Doechii twerked on Katy Perry as she rapped her verse and bent backward, with Perry nearly kissing her. The broadcast promptly cut to Bloom, who sat awkwardly in his seat, clapping.

Orlando Bloom, Katy Perry's soon-to-be husband and father of her child, took to the stage to introduce her before she accepted her award. He began his speech by saying that the world only knows one side of her, the pop icon side. He knows her "as Katheryn Hudson." He continued,
"You know her as a global superstar who brings love light and her unique sense of humor to every song she writes and every music video she creates. I know her as a mother, as a partner, who brings that same love and joy to our family.”
He then called her up, and she emerged from above, clad in a mystical, cream-colored outfit, ready to deliver her performance. She performed some of her biggest hits, such as Teenage Dream, California Girls, I Kissed a Girl and Fireworks. She also performed E.T., followed by her and Doechii's collaboration.
She accepted her award, telling the world, "I did that all on the first day of my period, too. Can you believe it?" before she delivered an inspiring speech. She also gave a shoutout to Bloom and their daughter, Daisy.
"Thank you to Orlando for keeping me grounded, celebrated, and doing the dishes. And lastly for my Daisy, the only flowers I’ll ever need."
