Former President Donald Trump pledged to bring on an additional 10,000 border patrol agents should he assume office once again on Sunday during a rally in Prescott Valley, Arizona. It was then that the National Border Patrol Council endorsed him. Union president Paul Perez took to the stage to take shots at Vice President Kamala Harris, saying to a cheering audience,

"The untold millions of people, unvetted, who she has allowed into the country, that are committing murders, rapes, robberies, burglaries, and every other crime, will continue to put our country in peril. Only one man can fix that, and that is Donald J. Trump."

The former president, who also promised them a $10,000 retention and signing bonus, helped axe a bipartisan border security bill just this year that would have funded additional border personnel. The National Border Patrol Council is a longtime Donald Trump supporter, having endorsed him in his last two campaigns.

Union president Paul Perez lauds Donald Trump for "putting his life on the line for what's right"

In the video Donald Trump posted on X, Perez can be heard telling the audience:

"America I have a message for you. If we allow Border Czar Harris to win this election, every city, every community in this great country is going to go to hell."

He continued, noting that Trump is the only one who can undo the wrongs of Harris, saying,

"He has always stood with the men and women who protect this border, who put their lives on the line for their country. [He is] a man who knows about putting his life on the line for what is right. This November, we have a choice to make... continue the chaos, allow the criminal cartels to control the border, to allow drugs and fentanyl into the country, or put an end to it once and for all."

He concluded his speech, before hugging Donald Trump,

"On behalf of the 16,000 men and women represented by the National Border Patrol Council, we strongly support and endorse Donald J. Trump for president of the United States."

Trump has consistently blamed his Democratic opponent, Vice President Kamala Harris, for the surge in unauthorized border crossings under the incumbent administration, and has reportedly, time and again, labeled those who crossed the border unlawfully as criminals.

Illegal immigration is the central focus of his campaign, and per Newsweek, the former president has pledged to execute the largest deportation operation in American history should he be re-elected. Per Reuters, Donald Trump called for the death penalty for "any migrant" who murders a U.S. citizen just this Friday, October 11.

In the last month alone, Trump has seemingly doubled down on his anti-immigration rhetoric, dubbing any illegal immigrants in the nation accused of committing crimes "monsters," "stone-cold killers," and "vile animals."
