The Odyssey is Christopher Nolan's latest project, and its shoot is reportedly underway in Morocco. A few on-set images have just surfaced online, showing Nolan next to Tom Holland. The Spider-Man-fame actor plays a key role in Nolan's film. However, there hasn't been an official announcement about which part he plays in this epic film. Here are the images from the film's set:

The images do not offer any clear idea about the kind of scene being shot, its relevance, or its significance to the overarching themes. However, it offers a glimpse into Holland's look for the film. The Spider-Man fans must be eager to see the same. While the photos might be in the initial stages of the film's shoot, they still are enough to get the audience excited about the project.

In the photos, Holland is seen wearing a dark brown cloak over a light-brown tunic-like attire. He appears on a boat while his hair looks disheveled. Nolan, wearing a life jacket, is standing next to him. A few crew members are also around the duo along with a bearded guy, who appears to be a cast member, considering his attire. Other photos also offer a brief idea of the film's look and feel.

More details on Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey, starring Tom Holland

Christopher Nolan's next project is The Odyssey, a cinematic adaptation of Homer's epic poem. It marks his return after the success of Oscar-winning Oppenheimer.

According to an official announcement from Universal Pictures, Matt Damon has been cast as Odysseus in the film. However, there hasn't been any further update about the other characters. After the reveal of Tom Holland's on-set photos, many fans reportedly believe he is playing Telemachus, Odysseus' son.

Per IMDb, the film's official synopsis reads,

"Follows Odysseus in his perilous journey home after the Trojan War, showcasing his encounters with Polyphemus, the Sirens, Circe, and finishing with his reunion with his wife, Penelope."

Shogun-fame Cosmo Jarvis was recently revealed to be joining the film's cast, which also includes Anne Hathaway, Lupita Nyong’o, Himesh Patel, Robert Pattinson, Mia Goth, Zendaya, Charlize Theron, Benny Safdie, Samantha Morton, Jon Bernthal, Elliott Page, Will Yun Lee, Bill Irwin, Jesse Garcia, and Corey Hawkins.

The film might prove fruitful to Tom Holland's filmography, whose projects besides his MCU collaborations were met with less than favorable reviews - whether it is The Crowded Room, Uncharted, or Cherry. So, The Odyssey may just help him in that direction.
